I create decorative ceramic pieces that explore the balance between strength and fragility. Through sculptural forms, I honor the resilience of clay, and reveal its enduring nature. In contrast, the light-catching surfaces of my work echo the radiant qualities of stained glass, creating a visual interplay that draws the viewer’s attention. The meticulous process of decorating each piece is a labor of love and this careful attention to detail becomes an integral element of the final artwork.
As an emerging artist entering the professional art community, my focus is on deepening the intricacy of the designs that define my pieces. I am committed to creating pieces that encourage viewers to discover more the closer they look, inviting them to engage with the subtle details and layered textures. My lifelong passion for creativity began in childhood, where I spent countless hours crafting at the kitchen table and eagerly gravitating toward the arts and crafts section during every library visit. These early experiences laid the groundwork for years of artistic study in various mediums, making creativity a compass that has always guided me through life.
Pottery eventually became my true north—a practice that felt instinctive and inviting from the start. My journey started over four years ago, sparked in an art class that I attended just for fun. What began as a casual exploration soon evolved into a deep passion and a clear artistic vision.
With each piece I create, my desire to experiment, learn, and make art grows stronger. This progression was fueled not only by curiosity but also by the encouragement and support of an incredible artistic community, which played a pivotal role in nurturing my development and vision as an artist.
